How freight delivery works
Every RefrigerationX unit ships by freight carrier, free on all equipment. Here is exactly what happens on delivery day:
1. The truck arrives, you inspect before signing.
Look the unit over while the driver is there. Check the packaging for dents, tears, or crushed corners, and confirm the model and quantity match your order. If anything looks wrong, photograph it.
2. Note any damage on the delivery receipt (BOL) before you sign.
This is the step that matters most. If damage or a shortage is not written on the delivery receipt, a freight claim cannot be filed later. Write it down, then sign. If a unit is seriously damaged, you can refuse that piece of the shipment.
3. The driver lowers it to the ground. You move it inside.
A standard freight delivery brings the unit to the back of the truck at your address. If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, add Liftgate Service (+$75) at checkout and the driver will lower it to ground level with the liftgate. The driver does not carry it inside or unpack it — moving it into your building is on you, so have help or a pallet jack ready.
Concealed damage: sometimes damage hides under the packaging. If you find it after the driver leaves, report it to the freight carrier within 48 hours.
Delivery options at checkout
- Liftgate Service (+$75): choose this if you do not have a loading dock or forklift. The driver lowers your unit to the ground with the truck's liftgate.
- Limited-Access Delivery (+$125): choose this for schools, churches, construction sites, storage facilities, and government buildings — anywhere a full-size trailer cannot easily get in and out.
- Residential Delivery (+$125): choose this if the delivery address is a home or residential address.
